KB Shimmer Early Summer Collection - Partial Swatches & Review

KB Shimmer recently announced its Early Summer Collection, and today I have 6 of the shades to share with you; the cream and textures!

Here is what Christy Rose had to say about the collection:

The Early Summer 2014 Collection includes six holographic shades, three bright textured polishes, and three bold creams. “When designing our early summer collection, we decided to celebrate sunshine, bright colors, and exciting finishes,” KBShimmer Owner, Christy Rose, says.
“We love the textured look, and what better to pair with texture then bright, bold color. These shocking shades have a bit of sparkle to capture the summer sun” Rose says. “Our bold choices don’t stop with the textures; three new cream shades offer a fun pallet for warm weather fun. In addition, we are adding six holographic polishes perfect for outdoor wear. They come alive in the sun with a stunning glitter rainbow effect. With shades ranging from a neutral nude to a deep black charcoal, there is a polish for every taste.”

The Creams

All swatches shown with two coats of color plus topcoat
Let’s Not CoralA pink leaning coral cream. 2 Coats Recommended

This is a lovely pinkish coral shade and is perfect for the summer season.

Right As ReignA deep indigo purple polish. 2-3 Coats Recommended

I am wearing two coats here and is pretty much opaque. There is a slight jelly quality to this polish as well, and the formula was nice.

Low and Be BoldA bright near ultramarine blue polish. 2-3 Coats Recommended

This is an awesome blue shade, and perfect for summer. It does have a slight "blue polish" smell but nothing too bad, and since its slightly jelly, I plan to try this color in a lead light technique soon.

Which one of the creams is your favorite? (Mine is definitely Low and Be Bold)

The Textures

All swatches shown with two coats of color - no topcoat
Partners In LimeA textured polish with lime, aqua, and gold holographic glitters. 2 Coats Recommended

This shade is so fun and completely pops off the skin! The glitters and polish all dried to a rough matte finish and were easy to work with.

Too Pop To HandleA purple-toned fuchsia color, with violet, magenta and aqua holographic glitters. 2 Coats Recommended

This color also pops off the skin and has a lovely mix of glitters. As with the previous shade, this was easy to work with and dries to a nice matte finish.

She Twerks OutA bold aqua polish, featuring teal, lime, and violet holographic glitters. 2 Coats Recommended

I love this aquamarine shade! It dries to a lovely textured matte finish.

All of these textures would also look amazing with topcoat I am sure. Which one is your favorite?

There are also 6 holographic shades in the collection, I don't have swatches of those so below are the shots and description from the press release.

The Holographic Polishes:

PT Young Thing – A platinum silver linear holographic polish. 2 Coats Recommended

In Bare Form – A near nude holographic polish. 3 Coats Recommended

Big Tan On Campus – A light tan-ish brown holographic polish. 3 Coats Recommended

Run! It’s The Coppers! – A metallic copper linear holographic polish. 3 Coats Recommended

Goldie Rocks – A shimmery gold holographic polish. 3 Coats Recommended
